Another night to rampage with my triviamates. Who signed up? Ang alam ko lang eh si Jay, Noel and me. May special guest pang nalalaman tong si Jay. Eh sablay naman kasi tinext ako nung special guest daw, which is Eric. But he couldn't come since he was confined in the hospital in Laguna for rheumatic heart complications yata. JD was supposed to be in Baguio but the trip was cancelled so he came along.
Ang meetup sa Malate. Ok goodluck sa place di ba. Never been to Malate. Recently I worked in UN Ave, which is part of Ermita. Pedro Gil lang naman ang pagitan ng Malate at Ermita pero hindi ko to naeexplore.
So ang meeting eh 11pm. I texted Jay, 12am na daw. So nagpabanjing banjing pa ako. 11pm nako mismo lumakad. Pagdating ko sa sakayan papuntang P.Gil, nag-antay pa ung driver ng jeep. Patagal talaga! Ambilis lang ng biyahe papuntang Paco, na ibang iba talaga ang eksena pa sa umaga mo makikita.
Nagtext si JD asking where I am. Sabi ko on the way na. He told me they're at Penguin at Remedios. Pagdating ng P. Gil, I don't know where to drop. Muntik pa ako umabot ng Taft. I asked around where Remedios is, hindi alam ng mga tao! What the fudge?! So I asked him again where exactly should i turn. I kept walking looking left and right. Nasa Orosa ako, dito dati si Eric. Remedios should be next street after Nakpil. After finally reaching Remedios circle, i turned right going to Roxas. JD called, asan na ba ako? Im near Tia Marias. Shunga, opposite direction pala. So i turned and went back to the circle and finally saw JD. Pasenxa ha, wala akong google earth!
We went to this bar called Penguin Gallery i think. That night merong live bands performing. Supposedly may fee but at that time free entrance na! Wooooottt! JD was with Arvy and Mark. The band performing is good, pero hindi lang talaga ako ganun kataas tolerance ko sa sound. To the highest level and sound system, to think katabi mo ung band. Buti na lang at may vibrate phone ko, Eric was calling. He was asking about the night, about who came, eh kakasimula pa lang naman. He just came back from Laguna pero he couldnt make it, rest muna. I came back in and the band is just finishing up. Another band is getting ready. Goth girls yung vocals and guitar.

After that, we went walking to find a new hangout. Nasan na si Jay? Sya ang organizer! We stopped by at Starbucks. Since may exp nako sa istarbaks, alam ko na oorderin ko. Pero wait, ano nga ba yun? I forgot the name of the drink. Lecheng 64mb memory to, pumapalya. So I asked the cashier, what drink do you have chocolate in it? Nag enumerate na si ate, eh ung mocha frappe ang nagring sa isip ko. One mocha frappe please, grande. Ndi ko ata mauubos ang venti. Plus one belgian waffle, strawberry topping. See, nawithdraw ko yan sa experience.
When I was going back to them, saka pa lang dumating si Jay, complete with kumot, i mean bib, whatever, im not fashionable enough to know what it is. Walang malaking place so two tables kami at first. Buti na lang maya maya umalis na yung group sa may sofa. So lipat kami dun.
Bakit parang ang lamig yata? Is it just me or is it freezing in here? Di lang pala ako ang giniginaw, pati si Mark. Brrrrrrr!!! And to think I'm drinking something cold! Double brrrrrr!!! Nagpalit na ng place si Jay at Mark, pero malamig parin daw. Mark thought hindi ako giniginaw, maybe im just not too showy. Ano bang mukha to, stoic?! One guy fiddled with the aircon, wala parin nangyayari. Nagpa-flash back sa isip ko... "You jump, I jump!" Buti na lang si JD na nagset ng aircon. Hay salamat!
Midway dumating ung friend ni JD na si Barns. So on with our chikkahan portion. Kung anu anong topics ang pumapasok. How Jay came late all because of Noel, nagpaantay pa sa Trinoma para mang-injan lang pala. Pati si Michelle Pfeiffer nasingit sa kwento from her role in Stardust at Hairspray, never seen it pa. Note to self: must see hairspray. Pati yung mermaid ng starbucks napagdiskitahan. May morbid story pa si Arvy about Sogo. Every now and then may magsi-CR samin. Pero ang haba ng pila, box office!
Before 3am, nagpaalam na si Mark kasi he needs to go home at Antipolo. Goodluck sa byahe db. Later si Barns nagbabye na rin. And then there were four. We looked up at the ceiling, ganja ng mirrors. So ayun, kodak moment sa reflection... adik?!
3am na ng dumating si Noel. Pasaway talaga! Pupunta rin pala, pinag-antay pa si Jay. Damang dama ang init ng ulo ni Jay. Pero nakapagpakodak moment pa sila, with matching poses pa.
Long and Winding Island
So lakad uli kami para maghanap ng inuman namin. We came to the intersection of Nakpil and Orosa. Eto pala yung notorious place. Grabe siksikan ang mga bars dun. At andami pa mga tao sa labas. Iniwan kami ni JD kasi he left his chopsticks. Si Noel iniwan kami kasi he left his aura at Bed. heheh.
We found this small drinking bar kung san may promo, 3 sanmig for a hundred ata. Sayang lang at nkpaglast order na sila, they're closing for the night, or day, whatever. So balik kami ng Orosa. Alin, alin, alin na nga ba? Dun kami sa isang maliit na bar din, open lang, near the road. Pag upo namin, hindi pa alam ang oorderin. JD suggested the pitcher, kanina pa nya gusto umorder ng Margarita pero umapila sa barangay si Arvy at Jay.
Gusto ni Arvy ung long island. Ok go lang. Para sa mga noob sa cocktail drinks like me eto contents: vodka, gin, tequila and rum. Lumapit ung waiter with the pitcher and four glasses, each decorated with a slice of lemon. Parang iced tea lang? Since wala ang GRO naming si Jhonard aka tekken, Arvy poured us our drinks. I loved the taste, just disagreed with the aftertaste. Yuck! What is that? Halfway pa lang hilo nako. Pero nakatayo parin ako. Fighting spirit awardee ata to sa Takeshi Castle!
Heniweys, kwentuhan na naman kami. Jay told us his story of how far he's gone, may braces yan, shala! Pati ako inuusisa ni JD, si Jay at Arvy lang naman ang nakakaalam kay Jill at Rowena, so I told him. Kapansin pansin din pala ang Star Drama Present Athan ko sa baranggay hall a few days back, may matching The Fool card pa kasi ako. Maya maya pa eh may napansin kami ni Jay, sila Mariah at Oprah may Hand in My Pocket concert? I'm sure riot to pag napagchismisan. Im sure nagtoast kami 2 or 3 times, pero disoriented nako iflashback kung para san yun. Im sure din meron kami kodak moment ni Jay! Nasan na yun ha?

Bumalik pa si Noel after going to Bed. Hindi sya natulog ha, club yun, research mo. We're about to order another round of drinks pero last order narin. Pauwi narin kami kaya ok lang. So went back to Nakpil and started heading to Taft. Winding ang road sakin, mahilo hilo pako, wala ako baong bonamine. Winding talaga, windang pako. hehhe. Naiwan si Noel, may aura uli? We went on without him. JD and Jay were singing "Like a Virgin." San ba kakain muna? McDo ang suggestments pero ang layo daw, eh san nga? May nadaanan kami gotohan... umupo kami kagad.
JD ordered goto with tokwa. Same order si Arvy, xerox ba to? Ako lugaw lang, wait... change to goto na lang. Si Jay ang iba talaga, pancit. Feeling sarsi? Cue music please... "mag sarsi ka para maiba... (repeat to face for 5 minutes)" Eh mejo matagal ang order, isang tuna sandwich nga... and another pa!
After ng lamunan, nag-alas alas na kami. Si Jay meron pang NCC na aatenan ng 10am, nag-fx na sya dun. Pagkatawid, sumakay na si Arvy. Naglakad pa kami ni JD hanggang P.Gil para makasakay.
Round-up: I've had one belgian waffle, a mocha frappe, one and a half glass of long island iced tea, lightheadedness, a bowl of goto, and a whole new experience! Direk, pde production number?
Alas ocho na, matulog ka naman kung ayaw mo magpatulog!!! Leche!
