Bleed
One day I got hurt. It bled and didn't heal for days. I got scared I thought I had HIV. It healed.
One day I got cut. It bled and didn't heal for days. I got scared I thought I have diabetes. It healed eventually.
One day I got wounded. It bled and didn't heal for days. I got scared I thought... I'm not really sick. I'm just thinking maybe I am. It will probably heal in a few days. I'm just scaring myself. Thinking maybe I'll die with all this pain.
I learned wounds will heal, in time. I learned I have a great imagination, bordering morbidness. I learned many times I'm too afraid I might just die (due to the morbidness) that I forgot to live life. I learned it takes great amounts of pain to be strong. I learned I'm a little bit emo more than I wanna be.
And no, I'm not really THAT depressed right now. I accidentally cut myself while shaving with a razor. Dumb yeah. But another excuse to write a blog. It will probably heal.

Patola
Kundol, patola, upo't kalabasa.... Dati naman di ako kumakain ng gulay. Like feeling rich kid makaarte kumain chumuchoosy pa. "Mommy, I don't like that green slimy stuff. Make luto mo me ng chicken nodols." Ganyan.
At least nasa bahay kubo pa sya.
Ang mga Pinoy kasi sadyang mapagcomment. Patola.
History repeats itself. Rereact kasi agad. Akala ko ba think before you click? Poor country eeeww!" React agad tayo. Di man lang chineck kung famewhore lang tong bagong troll na to.
Tapos eto nga nanalo si Megan Young. Congratz bata, kahit mejo nagbuckle ka sa Q&A portion we're proud of you. Anyway, very proud nga ang sambayanang Pinoy. I am not the Megan Young who won Miss World 2013 please stop following me."
Eto pa, may isang Devina Dediva na may-I-comment daw ng ganito: "Miss Philippines is Miss World? What a joke. I didn't know those maids have anything else in them." at may dagdag pa na poor, smelly from cleaning toilets, at uneducated. Lakas maka-Maricel Soriano ng statement nya ha, ayoko ng mabaho, ayoko ng putik! Pwes, ayaw din namin sayo! Angry Mob Assemble!
Wag padalos dalos. Di masarap kapag laging patola. Dahil ang patola sa miswa lang bumabagay. Ansabeh?

Weeping Shadowhunters
Ok so I saw City of Bones like a week ago. I don't know much about the novels so I was in for a surprise. Well, I guess it was ok compared to a growning number of teen romantic-magical-asskicking novels. They also had the similar vampires, werewolves, and demons that have spawned the past decades' movie and book clubs. And no, they don't have zombies, they don't exist in their world. Let's see, if you wanna be a wizard, you'd be at Hogwarts hahah. If you wanna be a shadowhunter, ok this world would be perfect for you. If that even means anything. I've never heard of any kid wishing to be a shadowhunter when they grow up.
Anyway, there was this scene at The Institute where they show you the statute of Raziel, the angel who had given angel's blood to mix with human blood to create shadowhunters, a race of demon hunters of some sort. Looking at the statue, I remembered something. I never blinked. Fearing I'd be quantum locked hahah.
Ever heard of Doctor Who? The time travelling alien doctor from BBC? Well, that series also had their cult following. Apparently, there is this race of aliens that looks like angelic statues but they're not. They're some kind of psychopath killer angels. They can feed off your energy by teleporting you back to the past. Kinda freaky if you suddenly find yourself in a world with no mobile phones, innernetz, or worse, no refrigerator! I know, I'm scared! hahah
Anyway, these angels are harmless once any living creature stares at them. They turn to stone. Just like that. Easier said than done. They can move at light speeds.
Well, I only saw the clip on Youtube. Rather freaky I tells yah. I had to watch the entire episode to get the story. There's this girl named Sally Sparrow played by the gorgeous Carey Mulligan being chased by these weeping angels because she has the key to the blue policebox. She's with the cute and weird Larry Nightingale played by Finlay Robertson. "The Angels have the phonebox." Together they unlocked the phonebox without batting an eyelash. You have to watch it though to get the feel of the scene.
I think I would never trust any angelic statue--weeping angel, shadowhunter, Cupid, or otherwise. Cupids mostly. Because they fck up love and February for me hahah. Don't blink or you're dead! Good luck!

Rainy days and, well... everyday
Rainy days and Mondays always get me down. I don't know about Karen, but most people gets emo every time it rains. I know helluvalot of people who gets emo because it's almost Monday. But the two together may be a bit too much to some.
Happiness is a state of mind. In that case, sadness too is a state of mind. You can choose to stay sad because of something and maybe live in your land of perpetual rain. But you can also choose to look behind the gloom. It's just rain. We've endured lots of them, and floods too. But the sun will still shine. Look forward to that sunshine. And maybe rainbows too hahah.
Remember the fun times you had with rain. Have you ever danced in the rain? Splashed murky water with your friends?
I remembered way back in highschool a storm had passed by and there were a lot of flooded areas, no public transpos available. Manila, gates of Poseidon it would seem. I had to walk miles to get home. I was with some friends then talking about random stuff. And we didn't mind getting all wet.
Like I said, rainy days are just a state of mind. See the the beauty of nature. The music of every droplet. Exploding on impact, like some watery firework, if that even makes sense. Because happiness need not make sense.

Geek Alert: HP and Kibuishi
The Harry Potter series recently had a fresh update of covers in time for his 15th year anniv. I know, I haven't even read the books yet I'm so excited. Well, I did read through the first one til the 16th-ish chapter I think. After that I had to return the book to the owner lest I forget all about it. I did get to watch the movies though. All except the 5th one hahah.
Anyhoo, the first book's on its 15th anniv of its US release yay! What started out as a children's fantasy novel actually ended more mature than some, I dunno, vampire wannabe novel hahah. It is illustrated by Kazu Kibuishi, an American graphic novel artist and illustrator. Well he was born Japenese. And I think he's cute hahah.
The original American cover by Mary GrandPre featured Harry on a Nimbus catching a Snitch. This one looks cooler showing Harry being led by Hagrid at Diagon Alley.
On a side note, I also like the UK Bloomsburg signature edition covers by Clare Melinsky. The art is very minimalist.
It also features art at the back cover, all showing Harry's back on a particular scene in the books. The coolest one would have to be the final showdown with Voldemort.
Also, I've just seen the Swedish cover for Deathly Hallows and I really liked the anime-ish style hahah. Plus the illustrator Alvaro Tapia is also cute hahah. Or maybe I'm just too biased on the guys. Kebs.

An Open Letter to...
~0~
An Open Letter to Whom it may Concern:
Teka lang. I changed my mind.
Dear Emiko,
Remember me? Do you miss me?
Nalost na sya in mid air.
After a week, pati si Michelle, si Ferdie at si Cherrie nawawalan na rin ng lapis. It's as if may Bermuda Triangle ng lapis dito sa classroom.
A+ for Originality ka teh. Ngunit walang sumpa.
Well, sana after 20 years eh nagbago ka na nga. Kahit maging Robin Hood ka pa, the end doesn't justify the means. Magnanakaw ka pa rin.
Lubos na gumagalang,
Anonymous
~0~
Scarred for life ganyan. Pramis di ko sya kilala. Move on move on din teh. Si Maring nga nakamove on na eh, ikaw pa kaya?
Title ng episode: Mongol

Trainspamming
Pangarap ko makasakay ng skipping train. Pramis! By default wrong gramming na sya. Well, not necessarily siguro.
Like Ayala and Guadalupe na overflowing always forever.

Before Twilight
Alam mo yung twilight? Hindi sya yung book o movie series ha. Twilight. Ayon sa wikipedia, is the illumination that is produced by sunlight scattering in the upper atmosphere, illuminating the lower atmosphere when the Sun itself is not directly visible because it is below the horizon, so that the surface of the Earth is neither completely lit nor completely dark. Mejo high falluting sya pero ang ibig sabihin lang naman nyan eh yung time in between sunrise and dawn or sunset and dusk.
May pa-holding hands holding hands pag may time pa kayo, sweet sweetan ang evrathang.
I've been in love with sunsets and twilights since I can't remember. Narinig mo na yung term na Magic Hour? Also known as Golden Hour. Sabi nila, ito daw yung last hour before sunset. Sa photography napacrucial nito, also known as chasing light. Sabi nila one hour pero actually you have only minutes bago tuluyang magdilim ang langit. It depends sa altitude mo siguro, sa weather condition, cloud formations and such, how beautiful you can capture twilight.
There's something about that world na sad. Like a place of lost memories and trying to remember; what it feels, what is lost. Nakakaemo sya pramis.
Yung horror show noong nineteen kopong kopong. Alam ko bata pa ako para maintindihan yun dati, it's in English pa. Basta tanda ko lang horror series sya in black and white. Natatakot ako sa maputlang show. Wala kasing glamour choz.
~0~
A couple of times ko na rin narinig madrop sa usapan nila Jowein and Yves yung movie na Before Sunrise at Before Sunset. So nagtanong ako what's it about and they suggested I should watch it para maimmerse ako sa level nila ng ka-emohan.
Before Sunrise ay lumang luma na, like 1995 pa sya starring Ethan Hawke as Jesse and Julie Delpy as Celine. I don't know about them pero turo ng animated bubuyog sa TV nung bata ako eh don't talk to strangers daw at say no to drugs.
Anyway, going back. So the whole movie nag-uusap lang sila while walking around Vienna. Talking about stuff; life and love. Eto yung type ng movie na you should pay attention ala Yuko Yamashita ganyan kasi may mapupulot kang something na magagamit mo somehow sa life mo. And love if applicable. Bago sila naghiwalay, nagpramis sila na magkitakits ulit after six months.
Before Sunset naman ay pinalabas 2004. Di sila nagkita after nine years after nila magkahiwalay. Yah know pramises are meant to be broken. Nagsulat si Jesse ng book about sa meeting nila 9 years ago entitled This Time, at nung tinour nya sa Europe umasa sya na mameet nya uli si Celine It worked like magic, or sinadyang screenplay. Parang nangyari na to? Dumedeja vu ang peg. So ayun another timebound pasyal pasyal pag may time sa Paris. At dahil limited time nga, mejo bibitin nila uli ang audience what happened after the last scene.
A few years past at mukhang wala na ngang continuation sa hanging ending. Mygass excited. Ano namaln ang title? I suggested Before Twilight, wordplay sa timeframe at sa recent connotation ng word na twilight. Much better naman siguro than Before Dawn na slightly synonymous sa first movie, or sa Before Dusk na same sa second. Before Noon naman, parang pang variety show lang ang peg. Hanggang sa lumabas ang official title.
Before Midnight.
Nagstatus si Faye na may kalakip na trailer: "Before Sunrise was nostalgic, Before Sunset was poignant. I haven't seen this but I must!" I would say bravo sa tweetish review ni Faye sa two movies. Nagreply ako, "Before Midnight is enigmatic.
No wonder di nya type. Ate, you failed me! At mag-aral ka ng tamang punctuation ha....
Nine years again after ng last movie, nag-open ang movie sa airport. Nine years again, imagine! Parang nangyari na to. Dumedeja vu choz. At may anak na sila, not just one, but twins! So the usual na minimalist shots na focused sa usapan nilang dalawa sa small island off Greece. I knerr, you know it wouldn't be Greece without her tragedies. At di exception sa movie na to. Though I know you'll enjoy the conversations more. Funny, romantic, bitter and sad. Parang life and love lang. Sa ending mabibitin ka once again.
I know di ganun kalaki ang following ng series na to compared to big budget fantasy films like Harry Potter or Fast and the Furious. But you'll definitely fall in love with this film when you do get to watch it. I know, I was a cynic and skeptic about this film before hahah. And once upon a time, there was a beautiful story of love and life written before Twilight.

Escalator
Or elevator? Elevator ba o escalator? Di lang naman ako. You, them, and the entire human race. Amininnn! Napagpapalit mo ng tawag. Elevator o escalator.
Isip isip din pag may time teh.
May sensor or something. Bobita Rose. Excuse me, nag-eexercise kaya ako.
You put your right foot in, you put your right foot out, and you shake it all about. I-Love-You-Telebird-Telebird. Mamaya your escalatoring like a pro na.
At kapag tumigil na, move on move on din. Wag Bobita Rose.

Chesscake
Akala mo speaker lang or somethang.
Like yung chicken afritada bukas chicken ala monja, or yung adobo magiging pork stew, or yung creamy beef stew magiging beef stroganoff. So on and so forth.
Like eeewww, that's so gross. Don't make usap to me you hampaslupa you. Ganyan.
Minsan lang to pramis!
So coffee break gumora sya sa Bells at lumapit ka'y ateng cashier.
PB: Ate, isa nga po nung cheesecake.
ATE: Cheesecake po, wait lang.
PB: Magkano po?
ATE: Fifteen po ser!
PB: Kinse? Ano yan garage sale? Dalawahin mo na ate!
ATE: Eto po *sabay abot*
PB: Lemon Square cheesecake po to ate?!
ATE: Yes po.
PB: Ayyy hindi po yan. Pakivoid na lang po.
Cupcake kinse pesos ano to lokohan?! Sad.
Eeeewww.
